Starting slow

I have found that there is a lot to filming, whether it is the techniques when you're shooting the film, or the program you use to edit it. Many people think they can just pick up a camera and make a masterpiece, however that isn't the case. it takes a lot of effort and paying attention to detail, every little bit counts. I found a beginners guide to filmmaking. it is essentially a stepping stone, which gives the basic overview of how the process works. Over the next coming posts I will look more into the process behind filming and it's techniques.

Getting behind the camera

So I know it's been awhile since my last post, things have been very hectic. I'll have to make sure to stay on track. that being said, I have found some really cool stuff in the last few weeks, which I will be posting very soon.

I am currently Interning at Pete's RV Center and I was able to help them shoot a video answering questions that customers had about cleaning the roof of RV's in the winter time. I was able to be behind the camera shooting it all. Once the video is edited I'll upload for viewing pleasure and hopefully for some feedback.

First Sequence

My name is Josh and I am currently a Marketing Major at Champlain College.  I created this blog to showcase my passion of filmmaking, and keep in mind I'm not actually a film maker. I hope to use this blog as a way to teach myself and others that you don't have to know everything about your passion, you just have to want to put the time and effort into it and the results will follow. I hope you enjoy my blog, because it is about to get fun!
